The Boise State University's men's basketball team is called the Broncos and it is a member of the Western Athletic Conference since 2001, as part of the NCAA Division I.

The team won five Regular Season titles and 3 Tournament titles with the Big Sky Conference, their former association. With the WAC the team hasn't win any titles yet.

The Broncos have appeared four times in the NCAA Tournament, though they haven't been successful. Their last bid was in 1994 and they haven't been able to win a single game in the tournament.

Among the team players that have made it to the NBA we can mention Coby Kar, currently playing for the Los Angeles Lakers, Chris Childs and John Coker.

Last season the Broncos had a great season, ending with a conference record of 12-4 and were they got a berth into the NCAA Tournament, which wasn’t achieve since 1994. However they lost in the first round against Louisville 61-79. This season 2008-09, the team expects great things this period and hopes for a further position if they got for second consecutive year, in the NCAA Tournament.
