The Louisiana Tech men's basketball team is called the Bulldogs, and currently they play with the WAC in the NCAA Division I.
The team won one regular season as part of the Sun Belt Conference in 1999, and three tournament titles from its years with the Southland Conference.
The Bulldogs have participated 5 times in the NCAA Tournament, their last bid was in 1991. The team reached the Sweet 16 stage of the tournament in 1982.
The Bulldogs play their home games in the Thomas Assembly Center.
During last season 2007-08, the Bulldogs didn’t have a good season ending with a poorly record of 6-24 overall. This season 2008-09, Louisiana Tech and its coach Kerry Rupp are working hard to improve in different aspects of the game and getting into a better record this season.
