The Utah State Aggies men's basketball team has been a member of the WAC since 2005.

Formerly, the team was member of the Big West Conference, winning five regular season championships and six conference tournaments.

The Aggies have been invited to the NCAA Tournament 17 times, with 25 games played in the tournament and a record of 6-19. Their best performance was in 1970 when the team reach the Elite 8 stage.

In 2006, in their first season with the WAC the team finished second place in the Conference and received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.

During the 2007-08 season, the Aggies had a great season by achieving an impressive conference record of 12-4 and an overall record of 24-11, and also getting into to the WAC tournament were they lost against Boise State in the second round 78-88.  After that, the Aggies participated in the NIT, where they lost against Illinois State by four points. This season 2008-09, Coach Stew Morrill is aiming for a similar or greater season with the Aggies this year.
