The Colorado Rockies team is a relatively new team; during its early beginnings the Rockies struggled to maintain their spectator attendance as well as their game wins.

A couple of years later in 1995 the new stadium known as Coors Field opened its doors and the Rockies began a new season which they managed to finished with a 77-67 record; obtaining a second place in the West division as well as a playoff appearance.

Amongst some of the Colorado Rockies most outstanding players are: Todd Helton, Vinny Castilla, Shawn Chacon, Aaron Cook.

Most recently in the previous 2007 campaign the Rockies had one of the their seasons. The team obtained 90 wins, 73 losses and a win percentage of .552 besides a World Series appearance which they lost to the Red Sox (0-4).

Some of the current Rockies’ pitchers are: Jason Hirsh, Juan Morillo, Josh Newman and Pedro Strop. 

This 2008 season, the Rockies will play their 16th season in the professional baseball league at which they expect to repeat their big success from last year.
