This racing team was first created in 1986 by Dale Coine and it currently fields two vehicles in the IndyCar Series races.
Despite the extend background the Dale Coyne team has not yet achieved a major title in the series.
For the 2008 season the Z-line Designs became the main sponsor in the open wheel racing; additionally the team has signed the Brazilian Bruno Junqueira who has a vast experience in the racing world starting with a testing driving for the Formula One team – Williams as well as the 2002 Indy 500 pole position.
Also, there is Moraes who is just entering his first season in the Series racing; he has previously participated in the Formula 3 and has driven for Carling Motorsport.
Some drivers that have been part of Coyne Racing are: Mauro Baldi, Alex Barron, Ross Bentley, Ronnie Bremer, Cristiano Da Matta, and Roberto Gonzalez.
