The D&R racing team was first founded in 1998 by Dennis Reinbold and Eric De Bord.
The team encountered many problems until the year 2000 when the American former driver Robbie Buhl became co-owner of the group and who has until now remained in such position.
During the early years the team was not very successful.
In 2006 they had their best season after switching to Honda manufacturers and managing outstanding performances in several speedways such as the Watkins Glen International with a memorable podium position.
The following season the team add an extra vehicle for the races which is driven by the recently incorporated Duno (female) and Bell pilots who currently compete for the team along side with the American Buddy Rice who just returned to the racing competition in 2008.
Some of the drivers who have been part of the D&R team are: Steve Knapp (2000), Sarah Fisher (2002-03 - 2006-07), and Jeff Bucknum.
Some of the team’s sponsors are: CITGO, William Rast and Firestone.
