The Houston Rockets franchise was originally founded in 1967.
Throughout their history the team has gathered four Division titles, four Conference titles and two consecutive NBA championships.
During the early days the team was known as the San Diego Rockets then in 1971 the team moved to Houston therefore they changed their name to Houston Rockets.
Amongst some of the Rockets’ most accomplished players we can mention: Charles Barkley, Calvin Murphy, Moses Malone, Elvin Haynes, Clyde Drexler and Hakeem Olajuwon.
During the 2006-2007 campaign the team achieved 52 wins, 30 loses and a winning percentage of .634 |
The Rockets current Head Coach is the American Richard Adelman who has been leading them since the second quarter of 2007. For the past five years the Rockets have been playing at the Toyota Center located in down town Houston.
