NBA Line example:
NBA Straight Wagering
When placing a straight wager on NBA, you have the option of betting on the money line, the point spread or the total, so, if betting on the money line, the team that you chose must win the game for you to win the bet, if on the other side, you are wagering on the point spread, you must win for one more point that the one specified on the favorite, on the underdog (no favorite), you must apply the points that you have on your favor in order to beat the other team’s score, for example:
- On the line:
MINN T'WOLVES –4
NY KNICKS +4
Placing a wager on the wolves –4:
The wolves are the favorites so let’s say that the final score on the game was: wolves 90, knicks 85, you need to rest 4 points to the wolves, so you end up with: wolves 86, knicks 85, so you have won the bet as when resting the points you are still up in the points scored for the wolves.
Placing a wager on the knicks: +4
Here you sum up 4 points to the total number of points scored by the knicks, so let’s say that the final score was: wolves 90, knicks 88, when you sum up 4 points to the the knicks, the score is as follows: wolves 90, knicks 92, then by summing up the 4 points to the knicks, the number of points scored by the knicks (for wagering purposes) is now higher to the one of the wolves, so in real life the wolves won the game, but due to the +4 line on the knicks, you won the wager.
Now, when wagering on totals, we offer you an assumption of the total sum of the points scored by the two teams together, so you have two choices, decide if the total sum of the points will go over or under that figure we offer you, for example, you have:
Total 140: you can choose to go over or under 140, to win the bet.
NBA Money Line Wagering
When wagering on NBA money lines, you must win the game on court in order to win the bet. Wagering on MINN T'WOLVES $-190, the point spread does not matter. You must risk $190 to win $100. Wagering on NY KNICKS $+140, you stake $100 to win $140.
NBA Wagering Totals (over/under)
To win on the "over", the total score for each team will be added together and it must exceed 198 points. When betting the "under", the total score for each team is added together and cannot exceed 197 points to win the wager, if the totals score ads up to exactly 198 points, the wager is called a "push" and the money is credited to your account.
Future NBA Wagers
You can choose from a selection of lines for events that will be held in the future, for example, you can bet on "who will be the next NFL champion",
and the odds will vary depending on who's the favorite.
NBA Basketball parlays
A parlay is a combination of different straight wagers, for example, let say that you have a 3 team parlay, then you have 3 straight wagers that must be won, if one of the wagers is a lost, then you have lose the whole bet, independently of the outcome of the other straight bets, in the other hand, if one of the straight bets is a tie, then, your 3 team parlay becomes a 2 team parlay and the original amount "to win" that was set up for the 3 team parlay, will vary and it will go down.
