The Wildcats play their home games at the Villanova Stadium, which was originally built in 1927. While in 1-A, Villanova played in 5 bowl games during the seasons of 1936, 1947, 1948, 1961, and 1962. In the 1-AA, the Wildcats have made seven appearances in the FCS playoffs, including an appearance last season 2008.

During the 2008 season, Villanova ended in 2nd place of the CAA South with a great record of 10-3, but despite having a great run in the playoffs, the Wildcats lost against James Madison with a close score of 27-31.
