Important Facts

• The CAA football conference was established in 2005 and commenced officially in 2007.
  


• The CAA Football Conference is formed with all the former members of the Atlantic 10 that sponsored football.
  


• The CAA football conference hosts six full members of the CAA
  (Hofstra, Northeastern, Delaware, William & Mary, James Madison and Townson) and six football-only members (Maine, Massacussetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Richmond and Villanova).
  


• CAA's Old Dominion and Georgia State will start their football programs in the next couple of years and they will be joining the CAA football in 2011 and 2012 respectively.
