Since the early 1990s Wisconsin's football program has been among the most successful ones in the Big Ten.
n the program history two Wisconsin Badgers have won the Heisman Trophy: Alan Ameche in 1954 and in most recent times running back Ron Dayne in 1999.
The Badgers won three Rose Bowl Championships under the direction of Barry Alvarez, their former head coach who left the team in 2006.
Current coach, Bret Bielema, led the Badgers to an elven-win regular season and to 12 overall wins for the first time in the school history in the 2006 season.
