Based in Princeton, New Jersey, the Princeton Tigers are members of the Ivy League Conference in the NCAA Division I-AA. The team joined the Ivy League in 1956 and has played its home games at the Princeton Stadium since 1998, when the stadium was first opened.
The Princeton Tigers have the most national championships of any team in college football, with a total of 24 consensus and non-consensus titles. The championships date back to 1869, when the Tigers shared their first title with Rutgers; the team obtained its last title in 1995.
In 2008, Princeton ended in 5th place of the Ivy Conference with an overall record of 4-6, winning the last game against Dartmouth.
