The Pirates football team belongs to the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference that plays for the NCAA Division I-AA for football.
The team has been able to take home four titles in their few years within the conference.
The team's head coach is Joseph Taylor, who has been with the program for 15 years and was named the 2004 and 2005 MEAC Coach. He's also the winningest coach in Hampton University.
