Based in Daytona Beach, Florida, the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats are members of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference in the NCAA Division I-AA. The Wildcats joined the league in 1979 and play their home game at the Municipal Stadium.
Bethune-Cookman boasts a strong history of players, including NFL Hall of Famer Larry little. It can also claim current head coach Alvin Wyatt, who is one of the best coaches in school history, leading the team to an 11-2 season in 2002 and a MEAC Championship. The 2002 record is the best in school history. 2009 will be Wyatt’s 13th season with the Wildcats.
During their 30 years in the MEAC, the Wildcats have won 3 conference titles.
For the 2008 season, an overall 8-3 record left the team in fourth place of the MEAC, with the team losing the last game. In the conference the Wildcats finished with a 5-3 record.
