Based in Cedar Falls, Iowa, the Northern Iowa Panthers have been members of the Missouri Valley Football Conference in the NCAA Division I-AA since 1985. Before joining the MVFC, the Panthers competed in the CAC and the GFC for several years. The Panthers have played their home games at the UNI-Dome since 1976.
During their football history, the Panthers have won several championships in various conferences and divisions.
