The school of Murray State was founded in 1922 and it is located in Murray, Kentucky.
The Racers football team has been with the Ohio Valley Conference since its beginning and have been very consistent throughout the years although they have more than a ten year drought without any titles.
The team has been known as a stepping stone to major-college coaching success. Some of the former Racer's head coaches are Frank Beamer, current Virginia Tech coach and Mike Gottfried who was head coach at Cincinatti, Kansas and Pittsburg a currently is an ESPN analyst. |
