Based in Martin, Tennessee, the Tennesse-Martin Skyhawks are members of the Ohio Valley Conference in the NCAA Division I-A. The Skyhawks joined the OVC in 1992 and play their home games at the Hardy M. Graham Stadium, which was completely renovated in 1985.
In all its history, the Tennessee Martin Skyhawks football team has won only one conference championship, a feat achieved in 2006 after a draw with Eastern Illinois in the qualifications. Moreover, a total of 8 players have become professional players in the NFL but only one is currently active.
With an 8-4 overall record for the 2008 season, the Skyhawks ended in 2nd place of the OVC, finishing in the conference play with a 6-2 record and losing the last game of the season.
