Stanford and Oregon gave a free trip to EARTH to the Trojans last year.
Coach Carroll has taken alone confidence and victory back to USC, but with that comes high demand each year and once again the Trojans will have to play up to the bone.
Depending on how quickly the restored offensive line gels, the Trojans should once again be a powerhouse on the offensive side of the ball, despite the insecurity surrounding Sanchez.
Until then, USC will have to rely heavily on the play of the defense, which should be one of the best in the country.
