The school was first founded in 1880 and it is located in the University Park surroundings near Los Angeles in California. The university is also known as Southern Cal, USC, SC or Southern California.
The school athletics fields 19 varsity sports and they are recognized as the Trojans. They have accumulated a total of 86 national championships in all sports.
The Trojans participate in the NCAA Division I-A Pacific 10 conference. The USC Trojan Football has won 7 Heisman Trophies and 11 national championships. |
