Based in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, the LeHigh Mountain Hawks have been members of the Patriot League Conference in the NCAA Division I-AA since 1986. Lehigh is especially known for its football rivalry with Lafayette College. The Mountain Hawks play their home games at the Goodman Stadium, which was opened in 1988 and was voted to be the best stadium to watch PL football games.
The Mountain Hawks won one Division II National championship in 1977 and have added 8 Patriot League titles, including six in the last nine seasons. Their most recent title was obtained in 2006.
In 2008, the Mountain Hawks finished with an overall record of 5-6 and obtained the third place of the PL with a conference record of 4-2, winning the last two games of the season against Bucknell and Lafayette.
