The Fordham Rams are members of NCAA Division I-AA and compete in the Patriot League as an football-only member since 1990.
Fordham University has a long history in football, as they started playing in 1882. The team participated in the first televised football game in 1939, where they defeated Waynesburg College, 34-7.
More recently, the Fordham Rams shared a Conference Championship title with Colgate University in 2002 and won the current season 2007 Patriot League Championship with an overall record of 8-4. |
