After competing in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Football League for the past 14 seasons, Marist will be a Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) independent in 2008.
The Red Foxes announced on Feb. 28, 2008 that they will join the Pioneer Football League for the 2009 season.
Marist won three championships in its time in the MAAC, earning an outright title in 1994 and capturing shares of the crown the last two seasons.
The team has won two championships since their affiliation in 1994, one on that same year and the other in 2006.
