Steve Spurrier is starting to see things move towards the "very good" and with 10 returning starters on defense, who knows what supernatural he can work.
First the good news: South Carolina should be exceptional at the linebacker and defensive back positions.
Also, McKinley is one of the top pass catchers in the nation.
Unfortunately, the Gamecocks are not sound at the quarterback position and can't run the ball.
The SEC is one of the hardest conferences you will find in the country, if not the toughest and we think that the Gamecocks will improve this season and finish right behind Florida and Georgia in the East, unless the defensive line turns questionable.
Spurrier and company could be headed for another mediocre season if not careful.
