The Broncos represents the Boise State University in Division I or Football Bowl Division.
Since 2001 the team has been part of the Western Atlantic Conference and plays its home games in the Bronco Stadium located in Boise, Idaho.
The football program is the most relevant program at the University. Actually, the team has been very successful during this last year. The team obtained the title of the 2007 Fiesta Bowl.
The Broncos have placed a lot of players into the National Football league just to mention some are: |
Gerald Alexander (Lions), Jerard Rabb (Cowboys), and Bryan Johnson (Chicago Bears) in addition to other prominent players from the Chargers, Packers and Eagles.
Boise State’s head coach is Chris Petersen, named in 2006 as the National Coach of the year. Under his guidance the team not only met its goals but also obtained the fifth straight WAC title.
