In 1992 Nevada played as a Division I team for first time joining the Big West Conference. That year the Wolf Packs won their first conference title. In 2005 the team entered the Western Atlantic Conference.
The Wolf Pack team plays its home games at the Mackay Stadium located inside the University of Nevada campus. The Mackay has a 31,000-seating capacity and a synthetic Field Turf as of the year 2000.
The team’s head coach is Chris Ault; he is one of the three active coaches who has been included in the College Football Hall of Fame.
He has been with Nevada for over 10 years and his career highlights include the Hawaii Bowl in 2005 and the MPC Computers Bowl in 2006. |
