Ken Dorsey
Dorsey was born in 1981 and he played for the University of Miami, Florida.
While playing with the Hurricanes on their way to the 2001 National Championship Dorsey achieved a record for total offense making 9,486 yards, passing yards 9,565, passing touchdowns 86, pass completions 668, pass attempts 1,153, victories as a starting quarterback 38, winning percentage by a starting quarterback .974, and 200-yard passing performances 31.
That same year Dorsey was selected co-MVP at the Rose Bowl, Big East Offensive Player of the Year and first-team All-Big East three times (2000, 2001, 2002).
In the years of 2001 and 2002 Dorsey was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy. Afterwards, he left Miami as a champion and all time-best quarterback.
The San Francisco 49ers drafted Dorsey in 2003 where he completed 123 of 226 attempts, six touch downs and seven interceptions. Becoming Alex’s Smith back up to #1. He has a career passer rating of 62.4. Dorsey’s performance became more of a backup position after the exchange of Tin Rattay to Tampa.
Dorsey was traded to the Cleveland Browns on May of 2006.
