Larry Johnson
Broken foot ended his ’07 season in November. He was doing little before that.
Great power runner, but might he need dominant blockers in order to succeed?
Second-straight 1,750-yard rushing season––can stay healthy and hungry.
Johnson broke his foot last November and had been tramp water behind weak blocking before that.
He is a workhorse who can wear down a defense, as long as he doesn’t wear down first (emotionally as well as physically). Johnson turns 29 in November, but considering he sat for most of his first two pro seasons, one would think he has at least three years of gas left in his tank.
Even before suffering a broken foot in a Week 9 loss to the Packers, Larry Johnson was not coming close to matching his success during his record- breaking season of 2006.
The thinning of the team's once-feared offensive line, as well as the general absence of a passing game, had a major impact on Johnson, who averaged just 3.5 yards per carry and found the end zone only four times in eight games.
The Chiefs need Johnson to have a bounce-back in 2008-2009
