Peyton Manning
Manning, 32, is entering his 11th season under center and has yet to miss a start in his career (160).
Manning has guided the franchise to at least 12 wins in each of the past five seasons and double-digit victories in eight of the previous nine Indianapolis is again the hands-down favorite to win the AFC South title, something it has accomplished every year since the 2003 season.
Not even left knee surgery to remove an infected bursa sac should keep the eight-time Pro Bowl quarterback from calling signals against the Bears.
Manning noted recently that he has been able to throw and lift weights to maintain his strength level and mental capacity. He has also been watching film and talking to coaches and teammates about each practice.
When Manning joined the Colts, their system’s only human component was put in place. It remains that way today.
The 11th-year quarterback is the only person that the Colts are dependent on; the rest of their system is theory-based.
