Peyton Manning
Peyton Manning has been the Colts’ quarter back since 1998. He is from New Orleans, Louisiana . Peyton attended University of Tennessee from where he was selected as the first pick overall NFL draft in 1998 by the Indianapolis Colts.
Peyton Manning has added impressive records to the history of NFL some of these include the record for touchdown passes and consecutive seasons with over 4,000 yards passing. Even before becoming a pro he placed some records that need to be mentioned like; all-time leading passer with 11, 201 yards, 863 completions, and 89 touchdowns, a 39-6 record as starter and the best NCAA record for best all-time interception
Among some of the awards received while in NCAA college:

- 1997 Johnny Unitas Award - Awarded to the Nation's Top Quarterback
- 1997 Maxwell Award - Nation's Top Player

Few years later in 2003 Manning received the NFL Most Valuable Players award, this certainly helped him to become the highest salaried NFL player in history with a $99.2 million contract with a $34.5 signing bonus and $19 million extra on incentives.
For the 2003-2004 season Manning led the team to a victory against the Broncos with a 41-10 score in the wild-card playoff, throwing 337 yards and 5 touchdowns in the game achieving a perfect passer rating : 158.3. The following season was also quite successful for Manning placing 4,557 yards a 121.1 quarterback rating and 49 touchdowns
Between the 2003-2004 seasons Peyton threw for 4,267 yards and 29 touchdowns in the regular season taking the team to a 12-4 record. Also, he led the team to a victory against the Denver Broncos with a 41-10 score in the wild-card playoff round. He threw for 337 yards and 5 touchdowns in the game, getting a perfect passer rating: 158.3.
