The Panthers are based in Charlotte, North Carolina and the team represent both North and South Carolina.

The Panthers were established in 1995 as one of the first expansion teams to win their first game when they played Jacksonville winning 20-14.

They initially played their homes games at the Clemson Stadium for one year due to their ongoing construction of their sport facility. Later on the team relocated to the Bank of America Stadium (also known as Ericsson Stadium).

During the 2003 campaign the Panthers finished as 1st place of the NFC South and won the Conference championship against the Philadelphia Eagles.

This was their first and only appearance in a Super Bowl Game which they lost to the New England Patriots.

In a most recent campaign in 2007 the Panthers managed a record of 7-9, which granted them the 2nd place of the NFC South. As the Panthers are a very new football team there are not that many players listed in the Hall of Fame; but we can mention Reggie White and Sam Mills as their most notable players.
