The team was formed in 1967 in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Saints are part of the Southern Division of the NFC in the NFL. And the Louisiana Superdome is the Saints’ home arena.
Throughout the team’s history the team’s best seasons have been those of 1987 to 1992; this due to the fact that the Saints participated in four playoffs.
Despite achieving a playoffs victory the Saints have not yet been to a Super Bowl.
Amongst some of the Saints current players who are listed in the 2008 roster are: quarterbacks Drew Brees, Travis Lulay, and Tyler Palko.

Additionally, since the 1989 season the Saints honoured people that have contributed to improve the team’s organization; this award is called the “Fleur-de-Lis” and these are some of the individuals who have received it: Dave Dixon, Angela Hill, Frank Wilson, Jim Fast and Bob Roesler.
