Super Bowl Betting Tips and Strategies
- Take a chance on the big under-dogs. Underdogs of more than seven points win frequently enough to produce statistically significant profits. Odds makers might recognize that most people bet on Super Bowl favorites and subsequently shade the betting line so that favorites win slightly less than half of the games against the spread.
- Super Bowl gamblers seem to place too much weight on team’s recent performance while placing too little on its long-term record. Suggestion: Look at the team’s entire season rather than worrying about what team is hot –or not- on Super Bowl day. So stop getting caught up on a team’s recent blunders. - When the Super Bowl bettors get involved in totals bets, they tend to over bet the “over” for those games where the over/under is 47.5 or greater. Bettor psychology may drive totals too high, making the “under” bet a consistently profitable one for the Super Bowl.
