Dave “Devilfish” Ulliott
Dave "Devilfish" Ulliott was born on January 4, 1954 in Hull, England. David started to play poker at the age of sixteen. His nickname of "Devilfish" came from a friend and spectator Stevie Au-Yeung when playing heads up with Men "The Master" Nguyen. Ulliott believes that if his opponents are not well prepared, he will defeat them easily. He wears large rings that say "devil" and "fish" on his two hands which he created himself.
David "The Devilfish" Ulliott is one of poker's leading personalities. He is also well known for sitting at the poker table wearing a pair of shades. He has made a name for himself as a poker player, whether he is playing live action or tournament play. His first tournament was in January 1997 where he beat another well known opponent, Men "The Master" Nguyen.
He is almost certainly the best-known British poker player at present. His biggest prize, however, came with the Jack Binion World Poker Open stop on the World Poker Tour (WPT), a no limit Texas hold 'em tournament in which he won first prize ($600,000). Ulliott has won over $3,400,000 in live tournament play, which makes him the top money winning English player in history.
