Welsh-Scottish Premiership
Cardiff RFC
Cardiff Rugby Football Club was founded 1876.
A new stadium was built in 1969 as a result of an agreement between the Cardiff Athletic Club and the Welsh Rugby Union. In 1999 a brand new stadium was built in place of the old one, and it was named the Millennium Stadium.
The club has played an important role in the early development of rugby and helped move the game away from a game of pure physical confrontation to the game of skill and flair enjoyed today.
As part of the team’s history; there is to mention that Cardiff has beaten South Africa and New Zealand.
