São Caetano (SP)
Associação Desportiva São Caetano was founded in 1989 and is located in the city of São Caetano, Brazil and their greatest rival is EC Santo André.
In 2000, São Caetano was runner-up of the Second Division and qualified to the finals. Then, surprisingly, beat favorites Fluminense, Palmeiras and Grêmio, which led them to the final against Vasco da Gama.
In 2001, the team reached the finales of the Brazilian national championship, this time against Atlético Paranaense, unfortunately São Caetano lost, but was runner-up two years in a row.
In 2002, São Caetano was finalist of Copa Libertadores de América,and again was the runner-up losing the final to Olimpia of Paraguay in penalties.
Finally in 2004 they won their first title having won the São Paulo State tournament (Campeonato Paulista) by defeating the countryside squad Paulista de Jundiaí.
