Located in Commerce City, Colorado, the Colorado Rapids, one of the founding clubs of Major League Soccer, is a soccer team that competes in the MLS and was founded in 1995. The Colorado Rapids' principal colors are burgundy and sky blue with the home jerseys being burgundy.
From 1996 to 2001, the rapids played their home games at Mile High Stadium, after played at INVESCO Field at Mile High from 2002 to 2007 season, when they moved to their current home, the Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Denver.
The team has managed to compete in the 1997 MLS Cup and the 1999 US Open Cup finals.
