The Atlanta Dream is the most recently created team in the WNBA; the name and colors were announced in January, 2008 and in February the team had their expansion draft, selecting a player from each of the 13 teams in the league.
This team began to play in the current season 2008; playing their home games at the Phillips Arena, same arena of the NBA's Atlanta Hawks and NHL's Atlanta Thrashers.
Atlanta's first head coach is Marynell Meadors, who's also its general manager.
The team's first season hasn't been particularly successful, as their record until late July stands at 3 wins, 24 losses, and a win/loss percentage of .111.
