The Minnesota Lynx team is currently based in Minneapolis, Minnesota is owned by Glen Taylor who is the head manager of the Taylor Corporation in the electronics and printing industry.

Despite the team’s fair participation in approximately 10 seasons the group has not managed to obtain a title yet.

The team’s record stands with a total of 135 wins, 189 loses and a winning percentage of .417 since 1999 to 2008.

Nevertheless; during the 2003 and 2004 campaigns the team gained a spot in the playoffs but did not advance further than the first round.

During the 2005 and 2006 seasons the team lost one of its key players, Katie Smith, who was traded to Detroit, reason why they had to restructure their strategies and search for a new talent. As well, by the end of 2006 head coach Don Zierden took the lead of the team.

Other accomplished players that have been part of the Lynx’s roster have been: Kiesha Brown, Grace Daley, Kristin Folki, Amber Jacobs, Amanda Lassiter, Tamara Moore, and Stacey Thomas.
