The CB Bilbao Berri is one of the recently founded basketball teams; only in 2000 the group was created in the Basque Country of Spain.
The team currently holds the 10th position in the ACB overall standings.
In a very short time the CB Bilbao has managed to move from the LEB-2 to one of the best basketball leagues in the world.
With approximately two years in the ACB the team continues to gain popularity and keeps growing as a powerful force in the league. |
The team has yet to achieve a world title but its performance has cleared all doubts regarding their potential; especially as the group managed to be part of the Spanish ACB Super Cup final in 2007 and their part in the semi finals of the Copa del Rey in 2008.
The group’s current manager and head coach is Txus Vidorreta who is assisted by Rafael Pueyo.
Amongst some of the team’s most important sponsors we can mention: El Correo, Feve, Bilbao and Iurbentia.
