The Baloncesto Fuenlabrada basketball team was first created back in 1981 in the central area of Madrid, Spain by Julián Aranda and Miguel Ángel Hernández. After a few years of local competitions’ the teams moves to the first division during the mid 80’s. The club’s first decade was very promising and they embraced the coming years with a name change to Club Baloncesto Fuenlabrada in 1992. Despite not having been able to win a conference title or a championship the team is currently one of the mid leading teams in the standings in the 12th position. |
For the previous season Fuenlabrada acquires several new players in order to fortify their roster, names such as: Gerald Brown, Andrés Miso, José Antonio Paraíso and Virginijus Praskevicius became part of the team.
Luis Casimiro is the current team’s manager and head coach with assistant coaches Marino Arasa and Antonio Rodriguez respectively. The team’s arena is one of the best Spaniards sports venues and it is called the Polideportivo Fernando Martin located in Madrid.
