The Polaris World Murcia team was created in the mid 1980’s and it was known as the “Agrupación Deportiva Juver”.
Just one year later the team was participating in the First Division B where it remained for a period of four years. Short after in 1990 the team moved forward to the ACB division.
Despite the lack of titles; Polaris Murcia has had a very strong presence in the Spaniard basketball league; time during which the group has participated in the semi finals of the Spanish King Cup. |
During the 2003-04 season the group took their final name as Polaris World became one of the main sponsors and only one season later both parties merged and the team finally became Polaris World C.B. Murcia.
Polaris plays its home games at the Palacio Municipal de Deportes – Murcia and they are currently in the 14th position in the ACB standings. The Spaniard Manuel Hussein besides being the team’s manager is also the team’s leading man or head coach.
