AEL 1964 BC

It is a professional basketball club based in Larissa, at the Northern Greece.

AEL was founded in 1928 under the name Gymnastikos S. Larissa; for almost 80 years they kept the name, until 2006 when their sponsor athletic association, Gymnastikos S. Larissa, fusioned with to the parent athletic association AEL 1964.

During the past two seasons the team reached the 11th place (2006-07) and the 10th (2007-08).
