Established in the Greek island of Rhodes, since 1963, the Kolossos Rodou is a professional basketball club from the first division of the Greek League (HEBA).
They were the first team from the region of the Aegean Sea and started very slow in the B League, especially because of their financial situation and their location.
Kostas Kostaridis, the current president, took control over the team in 2000 and it was going to be him the one that changes the future of the team. Kostaridis practically rebuilded the club and started a campain to take the team to next highest division levels.
The Kolossos finally won their ticket to the A1 League (premier league) in season 2004/05, when they were champions of the A2 League. The next season they endup in the bottom of the A1 and went back to second division. Nevertheless, they fought back and in 2007-08 season they were playing in the premier league again and this time they managed to stay (11th).
