It occupies the slopes of two hills divided by the river Penfeld, the part of the town on the left bank being regarded as Brest proper, while the part on the right is known as Recouvrance.
Plumelec: Plumelec,is a rural town of some 2,500 inhabitants located on the outskirts of the Gallo region, close to the Lanvaux moors, the Gulf of Morbihan and the beaches of the Atlantic, combines both a green setting and the proximity of the seaside. Woods and fields make up its green and hilly surroundings. Plumelec has been the stage tour town three times.
The ending time of the first stage is sketched to be around the 5pm. We are hoping this first stage will be pleasant for fans and riders.
