14th Stage: Nîmes Digne-les-Bains, 182 km

This stage has the same number of kilometres of the previous stage and will be the final one prior to the Alps and will begin in Nîmes and conclude in Digne-les-Bains. The riders who decide to continue with the group in the short climbs, at the end of this stage may be capable to win. After this stage the riders will be going to the Alps on the Italian side. After the participants get toward the Alps, they will experience twisting and slightly steep routes. Rider leaders will be careful not to drop their position, whereas those sprinters will try to do the last climbs which can cause problems and that might cause difficulties at the finish line.

Nîmes: was the last town to be in the thirteenth stage.

Digne-les-Bains: It is the principal district town in the department of Alpes de Haute- Provence, known as the capital of lavende and has 18,000 inhabitants. It is a thermal spa situated between Provence and the Alps. The city has been 11 times stage host of the Tour de France, the first time was in 1933 and the very last one was in 2005 and was won by David Moncoutie.
