3rd Stage: Saint-Malo → Nantes, 195km
Monday, 7th July
In this third stage the initial point of the stage will be Saint-Malo, it will go behind a hilly track closer to the Rance river and getting to Dinan and Calorguen, and then getting to the south through Brittany and finally conclude in Nantes. For some riders this is an important winning stage to obtain.
Saint-Malo: is a walled port city in Brittany in northwestern France on the English Channel. It is a landscape and is also famous for its cultural events: Etonnants Voyageurs book fair, Quai des Bulles , Route du Rock and for its sailing events. Saint Malo has been 7th time stage town of the tour and the most recent winner of the stage was Bert Oosterbosch in 1981.
Nantes: is a city in western France, located on the Loire River, 50 km from the Atlantic coast. The city is the sixth largest in France and is the farthest part of the Loire region. Nantes is a city of artistic and sports tradition.
