4th Stage: Cholet → Cholet, 29km (Individual Time Trial)

This stage is the first individual time trial and is in fact really short with only 29 kilometres. This stage is the chosen for the riders to take advantage of it and demonstrate what they can accomplish. This stage will be done around Cholet, it will start and finish in Cholet. Cholet will be a short route but intense and very flexible.
Cholet: This town is situated in the Pays de Loire regional district and is the second largest town in the Maine-et-Loire department, with a population of 83,000. Cholet stands out as one of the most attractive cities in western France. Cholet is the second time that participate as a stage town for the Tour de France.
