5th Stage: Cholet → Châteauroux, 232km

This stage will starts in Cholet and will end un Chateauroux, this is the longest one of the 95th Tour de France and in not less than 230 kilometres. This stage will possibly see one or more riders breaking out of the group and winning the stage; this route will certainly conclude in a sprint. The underdogs of the previous time trial could show some adrenaline to sprint in the flat roads and put their leaders in the front.
Cholet: was the host town in the fourth stage.
Chateauroux: Châteauroux is a commune and city of central France, préfecture (capital) of the Indre département, and the second largest town in Berry, after Bourges. Châteauroux lies on the Indre River 250 km (155 miles) south of Paris and 142 km (88 miles) south of Orléans. It is situated on the edge of the government-owned Châteauroux forest and the Brenne national park. The city boasts 450 hectares (1112 acres) of parks, amounting to 52 m² (560 ft²) for each resident. Châteauroux's average elevation is 154 m (505 feet) above sea level.
