7th Stage: Brioude → Aurillac, 158 km
Friday 11 July
This seventh stage is the second hilly stage that will begin in Brioude. Brioude is situated at the heart of Auvergne near the Allier river, in verdant and mountainous surroundings. After passing Brioude and going to Aurillac the riders will have to ascend to the Col d'Entremont (6,5 km) and the Col du Pas de Peyrol (Le Puy Mary ; 7,8 km). This is a short stage, but it is a very nervy and frightened stage because of its abrupt roads of the Massif Central.
