In 1886 the Arsenal FC quickly joined the professional football league.

Like many teams in that League, they could finally reach their potential after WWI and from the early 1930's to late 1960's, The Gunners placed incredible records on the League of Champions.

From 1970 to 1990, the club was introduced to the elite European Championship, finally aiming Winners Cup in 1994.

In 2006 the Club left Highbury after almost a century and moved to their new home.

The Gunners went in third place last 2007 season, despite leading the league for most of the campaign. The young side faced health problems and loss of form in the critical period between Christmas and the end of the season.

The 2009-10 season will be Arsenal F.C.'s 18th season in the English Premier League and will be the 13th season of Arsene Wenger as head coach of The Gunners.
