In 1874, the Bolton Wanderers became founders of the English Football league.

From 1935 to 1964 The Trotters stregthen on top of Division A.

Late 1990's brought joy, as they reached Premiership, but the real celebration came in 2004 when they came on 6th position; hight enough for UEFA aspirations.

Following the loss of manager Sam Allardyce in 06/07 and the release of Sammy Lee after only 1 win in 11 league matches, Bolton searched in all sorts of issues and turned to Leicester City manager, Gary Megson to escort them to safety.

Fans were incredulous over his appointment and their concerns looked justified when with just five games to go, Bolton’s ending looked eventual. However, Bolton resisted the critics and went on an unconquered run, achieving a secure place in the Premier League by 07-08.
