Brief History
The team was formed in 1884 as an amateur association, which turned professional in the 1891/92 season. Originally the team played at the John O'Gaunts ground, but it was moved to their current ground, Sincil Bank.
The team most recent championship was the Conference in the 1987/88 season. Lincoln achieved its best position in the 1901/02 season, reaching 5th position in the English Division 2.
